Carl Brenton is an experienced independent director and finance professional, providing fund governance and related services to a broad range of offshore investment funds since 2016. He brings over two decades of financial and operational expertise across fund administration, corporate governance, and accounting.
Before joining EisnerAmper Governance, Carl served as a director with an international governance firm from 2021 to 2024, acting on boards of Cayman Islands and U.S. domiciled investment entities. He previously held senior leadership positions as Head of Fund Services at both Catalyst Fund Administration and Intertrust Corporate Services, where he was responsible for overseeing fund administration operations in the Cayman Islands.
Carl spent over a decade at Citco Fund Services (Cayman Islands), where he served as a senior manager from 2005 to 2016, following earlier roles as a financial controller and public accountant dating back to 1996.
In addition to his directorship roles, Carl currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Encompass Ltd., a leading design and construction management company in the Cayman Islands. In this role, he has implemented automation and reporting solutions to drive operational efficiency and enhance financial oversight.
